Electric String Quartet · Four Players, Full Power

The Quartet Experience —
Amplified, Electric,
Completely Contemporary

Some events call for four players. The Electrostrings offer a full electric string quartet configuration — two violins, viola, and cello, all amplified through our professional PA system. The added voice fills larger rooms more completely and creates a richer harmonic presence for events where the scale demands it.

Trio vs. Quartet

When Four Players
Makes the Difference

The electric string trio is our standard configuration, and it's the right choice for the vast majority of events — versatile, compact, and with a presence that fills any room. But the quartet configuration adds a fourth voice that changes the harmonic texture in a way that's immediately perceptible to any musically literate audience.

For very large ballrooms, outdoor events in expansive settings, or clients who specifically want the classical quartet format reimagined as a modern electric ensemble, the quartet is the answer. Four players with LED-illuminated instruments and full amplification create a visual and sonic presence that is genuinely extraordinary — and the additional voice opens up more complex arrangements that the trio simply can't play.

"We went with the quartet for our ballroom wedding because the room was enormous. It filled the space — visually and sonically — in a way that felt designed for the venue."

Full Four-Voice Harmonic Range

A string quartet is the most complete small ensemble in Western music — two violins carrying the melody and counter-melody, viola filling the middle harmonic register, cello providing the bass foundation. The electric quartet arrangement preserves all of that harmonic architecture while adding the amplification, effects, and contemporary edge that defines The Electrostrings' identity.

Larger Venues & Outdoor Events

Grand ballrooms, outdoor estate lawns, rooftop terraces, and waterfront event spaces all benefit from the additional presence of a fourth player. The quartet configuration scales to large-format events in a way that feels proportional rather than overworked — four players who are genuinely performing, not simply adding volume.

Complex Arrangements & Full Repertoire

Many of the most beloved works in the string quartet repertoire — Beethoven, Dvorák, Ravel, contemporary film scores — were written specifically for four voices. Our electric quartet performs the full classical quartet repertoire alongside our contemporary electric arrangements, giving clients the broadest possible range of musical choices.
